Introducing the players
2008-01-02 12:07 PM PST
With this new Xfire Trophy event approaching, it's about time we introduce our competitors, just a week before our users get the opportunity to warm them up for the event.

We start with starComa.Tagan from Germany who won the national qualifyer for last year's ESWC with Lunatic, craZygirL, Jelly, MIsTy and redfox.

Next comes emuLate, from France, with Leeya, aKa$ha, iZee, S@v* and Kali.
And to illustrate the fact this week's competitors are truly exceptionnal, aKa$ha proves us some gamers actually read !

Then Les Seules: Aurora, Cazzidy, Queen, Sophie and Zelena. Do they still need an introduction ? Looks to me nowadays they've been around for longer than any professional CS team still playing...
Aurora shows us the true secret to lasting long is relaxation...

And finally, MiTsu, DiAmOnd-, IReNuKa, RiTTa and Shina, from french team aAa. And because we're not certain yet if Anne-Sophie wishes to be called aNsO or RiTTA, we'll just post her photograph to conclude this quick presentation of the ladies.

Next tuesday, on December 18th, they won't be kidding when playing with Xfire users from 19:00 to 21:00 before they fight for the 7th Xfire Trophy ! Come on top of your game for this unique event on Xfire !

Only hours left until MYM shows up!
2008-01-02 11:59 AM PST
The evening is getting closer by the minute, it's already dark here and I'm doing the final adjustments on my list of questions that I will ask MYM.
It's a pretty good one even though I would have wanted to see a few more of your quality questions in it.
We'll get to see what they think about the game, their own future and naturally what they can recommend you to do in case you would want to become as big as them.
Who wouldn't, by the way? Make sure that you prepare questions of your own for the chat tonight, you will get a chance to ask them. After all, it's not everyday you get to chat with some real gaming superstars.

We thank our pros who patiently attended these games and we hope you guys enjoyed this event !

We want your feedback ! Tell us all about this evening. Were the pros available, were you able to catch the teams you most wanted to meet ? Did you enjoy the session ?

And most of all, did you get the chance to own some of them and strike a few crucial headshots in the face of the best players in Europe ?

Counter Striking back, the Trophy will see top teams from France, aAa, d4 and emuLate face a team that was yet to be determined until today... when german team pod entered the battle !

Woohoo! New event upcoming, and it's MYM...
2008-01-02 11:52 AM PST

Wow, or perhaps I should say WoW ( ). We've just announced the next event in the Xfire EsportsZone, and it's a really big one this time.
We've got MYM coming, straight from the caverns of WoW into your computer.
This absolutley marvellous WoW squad agreed to come on Xfire and chat the evening away with you guys.
And I'm expecting an evening of great fun, and just so that you know. I might even be asking some questions for them.

If you have something you'd really like for me to ask you can post a comment in this blog entry, and I'll think of it. If I decide to ask one of your questions I'll definitely give you credit.

And as usual, you will be able to ask your own questions, but considering how many other people that will be there asking questions it's not a bad idea to ask some questions here, it will definitely increase your chances of getting an answer from them.

Well, I'll be back with more stuff in a bit, I just wrote a 910 word article about computer gaming, but that's in Swedish and not for Xfire. We'll see what I write about next, I think that it will be hacking, as I promised.

I'll come dressed in my shiniest priest dress, I promise.

First event done, and what an event!
2008-01-02 11:50 AM PST
Ok, we just finished the first event on the Xfire EsportsZone, and it was a really cool one. The interview that Crow from GotFrag conducted was a really good one, probably the best live interview on Xfire in a long while, atleast that I've seen. After that we had some questions from the users, and among those were many really good ones.

The whole chat transcript will be up on the Chatteox Blog

And after that we did two hours of intense gaming, first an hour of public play and then an hour of mixes. Even though TEK9 had some technical problems they handled it great and I hope that you guys also enjoyed playing one of the best teams in the history of COD.

All and all, it was a really good first event but we're hoping for an even better one next time around, make sure you spread the word to your friends about Xfire EsportsZone, and remember.

If you have any feedback, give it to us! Leave some here in the blog comments, and I'll make sure to forward them to the higher ups.

Finally, thanks a lot for showing up, thanks TEK9 and GotFrag.

Stay tuned for more gaming madness, on the Xfire EsportsZone.

Your safe haven in the world of esports.

Oh yeah, the big day is tomorrow!
2008-01-02 11:48 AM PST
It's finally time. The first Xfire EsportsZone event is soon starting. Just one more day, and we'll be sitting with TEK9 and chatting away. I can't wait for it, I'm installing COD4 now so that I'll be ready for tomorrow.

I'm really excited about this, and I hope that a lot of you will show up tomorrow to make this event one to really remember.
